A pair of Dingbai iron-mouthed tea cups from the Xiaofang Kiln, produced by Master Cai Xiaofang.

Ding White Glaze: The glaze color inherits the style of Northern Song Dynasty Ding ware, presenting a warm and soft, slightly yellowish-white hue reminiscent of old ivory or mutton fat. The glaze surface is lustrous and feels warm and smooth to the touch, like jade.

Iron Mouth Characteristic (Simulating the Song Dynasty "Unglazed Mouth"): During the Song Dynasty, Ding ware employed an "inverted firing" technique, resulting in the rim of the cup being unglazed and exposing the unglazed body, a feature known as "unglazed mouth." Master Cai recreates this rustic historical trace, which not only enhances the three-dimensionality and antique layers of the vessel's lines but also makes the feel and touch of the cup's rim more three-dimensional and rounded.
