Curatorial Notes

"Sky-blue after rain, smooth as jade." Master Tsai Hsiao-fang revives the sublime aesthetic of Northern Song imperial Ru wares. Hovering between blue and green with serene opalescence, the thick glaze offers the supple warmth of polished jade. Natural crackles slowly absorb tea infusions over time, deepening into a rich, living patina.

  • Mellow Glaze & Living Crackles: The dense porcelain body supports a lush, jade-like glaze. Silky to the touch, its delicate crackle network deepens naturally with daily tea practice.

  • Masterwork Lines & Rhombic Harmony: A pinnacle among Hsiao Fang’s square forms. The straight walls are subtly concaved into soft petal-like arcs, capturing an exquisite balance of disciplined geometry and fluid grace.
