【INCENSE.TEA HOUSE】Hand-painted blue and white ice plum cup by Cai Xiaofang, master of Xiaofang kiln

Blue and White Porcelain Craftsmanship: The "Ice Plum Blossom Pattern" originated in the Qing Dynasty, symbolizing the literati spirit of "ice cracking in the cold winter, plum blossoms blooming proudly in the snow to welcome spring." Master Cai Xiaofang has perfectly reproduced and refined this classic design.

Ice Crack Background (Water Separation Technique): The painter uses top-quality cobalt blue pigments of varying shades to outline a crisscrossing, crystal-clear cracked ice pattern on the cup's body. The cobalt blue is bright and the layers are extremely distinct (this is the highly difficult "water separation" technique used in blue and white porcelain).

Form and Craftsmanship: The shape is relatively rounded and tapers downwards, perfectly extending the extensibility of the ice plum blossom pattern, making it a top-tier tea set for high-end tea ceremonies.
