Xiaofang Kiln Master Cai Xiaofang's early Ding kiln white thin body straight cup pair teacup

Warm and lustrous color: Ding ware white porcelain has a faint ivory yellow tint, with a soft glaze that presents a restrained, precious sheen.

Unglazed rim/iron rim characteristic: Xiaofang kiln's Ding ware white porcelain straight-rimmed cups often feature an "iron rim" design, where a very fine brown or rust-colored line is intentionally left around the rim, mimicking the "unglazed rim" characteristic produced by the inverted firing technique of Song Dynasty Ding ware, adding a rustic and layered feel.

Straight rim design: The cup wall extends almost straight from the bottom to the rim, with only a very slight inward taper. The thin-walled technique results in a rounded rim, providing an excellent tactile experience when drinking.
