Xiaofang Kiln Master Cai Xiaofang's Custom-Made White Jade Cup Pair

Master Cai Xiaofang's "Dingbai Wanyu Cup" is a classic piece among Xiaofang Kiln's monochrome glazed tea cups, highly praised by tea connoisseurs and collectors. It perfectly reproduces the milky white charm of the "Ding Kiln," one of the five famous kilns of the Song Dynasty, renowned in the tea world as "white as mutton fat, warm and smooth as jade."

Glaze: The Dingbai glaze has a slightly ivory-yellow milky white hue, visually restrained and silky, with an extremely warm touch. It is widely recognized as the glaze that "most perfectly reproduces the true color of tea soup," allowing the honey green of high-mountain oolong or the amber color of Oriental Beauty tea to shine in the Dingbai cup.

Classic Wanyu Shape: The wide mouth and low belly design features smooth lines, presenting an elegant form reminiscent of an ancient jade dish. Because of the wide mouth and shallow belly, the tea cools down very quickly after being poured in. It is suitable for teas that need to be slightly cooled to fully appreciate their sweetness and to avoid scalding the mouth. The thickness of the cup wall is precisely controlled, and when holding it, the fingers should rest on the rim of the cup, giving it a very scholarly and ritualistic feel to tea drinking.
