【INCENSE.TEA HOUSE】Hsiao Fang Pottery Arts White sunflower-shaped teapot, persimmon teapot

The ivory-white sunflower-shaped teapot (also known as the "Dingbai sunflower-shaped teapot" or "persimmon teapot") produced by Xiaofang Kiln (Master Cai Xiaofang) is one of the most representative classic shapes in the kiln's monochrome glaze series. This teapot, with its minimalist and Zen-like design, is considered by many collectors to be a pinnacle of "contemporary imperial kiln" craftsmanship.

Glaze Craftsmanship: The glaze is delicate and warm, presenting a slightly warm white tone like ivory with a jade-like quality. This glaze perfectly reproduces the true color of the tea soup, making it particularly favored by those who pursue the ultimate aesthetics of tea ceremony.

Sunflower Shape: The teapot body is designed around a sunflower-shaped opening (or petal opening), resembling a blooming sunflower or a plump persimmon (hence the auspicious meaning of "everything goes well"). This type of uniquely shaped teapot demands extremely high levels of skill in hand-sculpting and finishing; the symmetry between the petals directly reflects the master's technical prowess.
