【INCENSE.TEA HOUSE】Hsiao Fang Pottery Arts Hand-painted blue and white apricot blossom covered bowl and cup gift box

Design: The rim and saucer of the cup break away from the traditional neat circle, employing a hand-molded or pressed wavy lotus leaf shape. This shape is extremely prone to deformation and ruin during firing due to high temperatures, severely testing Xiaofang Kiln's temperature control and clay formula.

Hand-painted Blue and White Apricot Blossoms: The covered bowl consists of a lid (heaven), a bowl (human), and a saucer (earth). The artist uses the "water separation" technique in underglaze blue to depict the apricot blossoms. Under Xiaofang Kiln's signature thick glaze, the cobalt pigment diffuses into a harmonious blend of light and dark ink tones, resulting in a clear and refined color that embodies the refined artistic conception of literati painting with its use of negative space.
