【INCENSE.TEA HOUSE】DAYDREAMER Artist Zhang Geming's Iron-Speckled Glaze Ru Kiln Tea Cup Flip the aroma cup(single cup)

Migong Creations: Zhang Geming considers himself a "craftsmanship enthusiast," and his studio is named "Migong." His works emphasize a balance between art and practicality, stressing that objects are truly complete only through daily use.

Iron-Spotted Glaze and Ink Painting Imagery: On the warm, sky-blue Ru ware (celadon) glaze, bold dots of "iron oxide" are applied. After being tempered by high-temperature firing, the iron glaze forms natural, diffused ink spots and rust-like patches on the surface, reminiscent of Chinese ink painting, giving each cup a unique, impressionistic visual appeal. Utilizing the difference in expansion coefficients between the body and the glaze, a fine "crackled" ice-crack pattern is created. With long-term immersion in tea, the tea color gradually seeps into the texture, allowing the vessel to "slowly grow" and record the traces of its user's time.

Flipped Rim Design: The cup rim is slightly flipped outwards, which is not only ergonomic and conforms to the line of the lip without burning the mouth, but also makes pouring and tasting tea more enjoyable. The shape and lines of the cup are conducive to gathering and retaining the aroma of tea. Before or after drinking, tea drinkers can bring the rim of the cup close to their nose and carefully smell the condensed aroma remaining at the bottom of the cup.
